Pif and Paf

In British folklore, Pif and Paf are names of “the country where cats are made,” homeplace to the Breton fairies.

There is a magic effect with large safety pins called "Piff, Paff, Poof." At one time there was a gathering of magicians that happened on Lake Erie of the same name.
